Night Guards and Splints

Preventive Dentistry

There are several conditions that may be helped by the protection of a night mouth guard or splint therapy. You may grind your teeth, a practice that can impact your jaw joints, facial muscles, and teeth, including chipped or worn teeth, joint pain, and headaches.  Perhaps you’ve been diagnosed with TMD (temporomandibular dysfunction), the result of inflamed jaw muscles which may require surgery. You may take certain medications that can cause nighttime teeth grinding. While teeth grinding is a chronic issue, it can be treated. Ask us about night guards or splint therapy to help cope with the negative effects of this condition.
